Muse’s Matt Bellamy Not Yet Married to Kate Hudson After All

She's still his muse, but Kate Hudson isn't Matt Bellamy's wife just yet. Earlier in the week rumors were swirling that the actress and the Muse rocker had secretly married after Hudson's mom, actress Goldie Hawn, was quoted in the U.K. paper The Evening Standard as saying the her daughter had "married an English rock star." Many people took that as a suggestion that the engaged couple had managed to take the next step and tie the knot without their legions of fans finding out.

But now Hawn has since insisted that she was misquoted, and that the happy couple has not yet married. "Darling, once again twisted the truth," she wrote in a Twitter post. "They aren't married ... [The media] never get it right." Meanwhile, an Us Weekly magazine report claimed that Hawn often uses the h-word loosely -- she even calls her own longtime partner Kurt Russell her husband, despite the fact that they've never been married  -- and suggested that this was just another such instance.

Neither Bellamy nor Hudson, who announced their engagement in April and had their first child together in July, have yet to comment on the original report or Hawn's more recent denial. And now that Hawn has presumably set the record straight, we won't hold our breaths for that to change. They obviously have better things to do -- like frolicking on the beach while on vacation recently in Cancun, Mexico. There are certainly worse ways Bellamy could kill time when not in the studio with his mates working on the follow-up to Muse's 2009 album, ‘The Resistance.'
