Though we’ve seen Jim James hard at work with the Bob Dylan-inspired supergroup, the New Basement Tapes, recently, it's looking like he’ll soon star things up again with his main gig, My Morning Jacket. In the most recent issue of Rolling Stone magazine, James announced that the Louisville rockers have not one, but two new albums on the way.

The first of the two full-lengths is set to arrive this April, while the second will follow in 2016. These will be My Morning Jacket’s first albums since 2011’s ‘Circuital.’ Right now, the band is working out which of the 24 tracks will make it on to the two albums.

“I just had tons of songs this time,” James said in the interview. “We didn’t even get to all of them.”

“I love making each record sound different,” he added. “I love the thrill of putting on a record and feeling like you got the wrong one from the factory.”

While the announcement means James will be busy well into 2016, the frontman isn’t stopping there. He said he’s also working on his second solo album, which is slated for a 2016 release. It will follow his 2013 debut solo album, ‘Regions of Light and Sound of God.’
