The list of 2013 new music releases is a bit sparse -- labels have yet to dish on dates for all of the year's albums -- but in the world of alternative and indie rock, there's already a lot to look forward to. The first few months of 2013 will bring new releases from the likes of ex-Girls singer Christopher Owens, indie faves Yo La Tengo, college-rock OGs Camper Van Beethoven, beloved sister act Tegan and Sara, supergroup Atoms for Peace and former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, who's finally dropping his solo debut.

We'll be sure to update our list of 2013 new releases as more dates trickle out. At some point, My Bloody Valentine is going to give us their long-awaited 'Loveless' follow-up, and there are plenty of other alternative and indie artists getting ready to provide the soundtrack to your year.
