Things start to pick up, as far as new music releases go, in April.

Now that the post-holiday slump is enough in the rearview, some big-name indie-rock artists -- including Cloud Nothings, Eels and Blur/Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn, who's releasing his first proper solo album in late April -- are getting set to put out some new, and highly anticipated, records next month.

There's lots of great records to look forward to over the next month -- from DIY indie-pop and guitar-assaulted psych-rock to spare indie-folk and expansive chamber pop.

So take a look to see what's coming up in April. We're guessing there's more than a handful of the new records coming out that will spark some interest in your indie-rock soul.
