As summer sadly draws to an end, the list of October 2013 new music releases gives fans at least one reason to look forward to fall. October 2013 will see new albums from veterans and young performers alike, and perusing the record store shelves, music fans will be glad they worked those summer jobs and saved those precious shekels.

Among the October 2013 new music releases we're most psyched about is ‘Reflektor,’ Arcade Fire’s much-hyped fourth studio album, which features David Bowie on the title cut, produced by James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem).

Indie rock lovers should also be happy about new records from the likes of Cults, Quasi and Los Campesinos! -- not to mention the two self-released albums from Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Kevin Devine.

In terms of the heritage acts, the October 2013 new music release calendar includes new studio albums from Moby, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, and Beatles icon Paul McCartney.

Further inspection of the October 2013 new releases list tells us Active Child, Ducktails, and Kurt Vile are among the artists issuing new EPs in the month. If October is any indication, it looks like 2013 is going to wind down in fine fashion. Read on to see the full October 2013 new release list.
