In a recent Funny Or Die clip, the very mild-mannered New Pornographers' frontman, A.C. Newman, enters New York City's Brill Building to meet with two big-shot execs who are more critical than he'd hoped. You can watch the hilarious clip above.

The Brill Building was once home to some of the most successful music industry offices and studios where some of America's most popular "big band" music was written and recorded. The irony of Newman meeting these execs at this particular historic landmark is that the band's new album is titled 'Brill Bruisers' and the band recently performed there.

We're not going to spoil it for you, but Newman sits down and plays a clip of one of his band's new songs called 'Wide Eyes' before getting reamed for how bad it is, at least according to the tough critics. There's also an unexpected turn at the end that you probably won't see coming.
