Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds give an intimate performance of ‘Higgs Boson Blues’ in a new video shot in East London and directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard. The stark, unembellished performance of this 'Push the Sky Away' cut paints the tune as a haunting torch song. No great stretch perhaps, but it’s an evocative clip nonetheless.

On a related note, the band’s feature-length documentary ‘20,000 Days on Earth’ has its world premiere next month at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The film was also directed by Forsyth and Pollard, and it centers on a fictionalized 24-hour period in Cave's life. The title refers to a calculation Cave made regarding how much time he's spent on earth.
