Rock and roll legend Nick Lowe is heading out on the road for a special holiday themed concert tour, and he's bringing along some friends.

Joining Lowe on tour with be none other than Los Straitjackets. However, the masked men of surf will not be doing their usual thang; instead, they will serve as Lowe's backing band, which should make for one rocking good time.

"I got a tantalizing taste when I played with them at the Yep Roc 15 celebration [in 2012], and now I'm returning for a full meal," Lowe said in a press release. Also joining in on the tour will be former Small Faces/Faces keyboardist, Ian McLagan. Still promoting his release from earlier this year, the fine 'United States,' he will perform his own set and, who knows, may find his way to sit in with Lowe's Straitjackets.

Last year Lowe released the critically acclaimed holiday album, 'Quality Street: A Seasonal Selection for All The Family.' Meanwhile, Los Straitjackets are no strangers to seasonal releases with two Christmas albums under their belts, 2002's ‘’Tis the Season for Los Straitjackets,’ and ‘Yuletide Beat’ from 2009.

Before the tour launches on Dec. 3, Lowe will perform on 'A Prairie Home Companion' from New York City's Town Hall on Nov. 29.
