Back in February, Northside Festival revealed its initial 2013 lineup, and now, even more artists have been added to the impressive bill, including Phosphorescent, the Gories and Solange — but that’s not all. Festival organizers have just announced two free outdoor shows, set to take place at McCarren Park on June 15-16.

The free gig on June 15 features the Walkmen, Phosphorescent, Friend Roulette and Abadabad, and June 16 brings headliner Solange alongside Petite Noir, Cable and My Midnight Heart. Free general admission passes for both shows are on sale as of today (April 30), and Music and Premium badge holders are guaranteed entry.

Other new additions to this year’s lineup are Ivan & Alyosha, Born Ruffians, Peanut Butter Wolf, Sinkane, Chad Valley, BRAIDS, the Spinto Band, Yellow Ostrich, Foreplay, the So So Glos, Julian Lynch and the Beets, and they’ll join the likes of Black Flag, Iceage, Swans, Son Volt, Merchandise, Lambchop, Twin Sister, Mac DeMarco, Chelsea Wolfe, Kisses, the Soft Moon, Milk Music, Lower, Destruction Unit, Good for You and Gregg Ginn and the Royal We.

The week-long bash runs from June 13-20 — click here for the full day-by-day schedule of events.
