The 2013 edition of NYC's highly anticipated (albeit by a select number of jangle-obsessed indie fans) Popfest is set to take place from May 30-June 2. This year's lineup boasts such bands as the Monochrome Set, the Bats, Close Lobsters and the Orange Peels.

Unlike some of the huge, all-encompassing fests going down this spring and summer, the New York City Popfest caters specifically to its niche audience and draws artists and fans from around the world. Among other acts on this year’s bill are the School, Wolfhounds, Alpaca Sports, French Films, the Hobbes Fanclub, the Ballet, Literature, Making Marks, Flowers, Azure Blue, Grand Resort, the Proctors, Math and Physics Club, Ski Lodge, the Smittens, Ringo Deathstarr and the Secret History.

Past lineups featured Go Sailor, Fan Modine, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Human Television, My Teenage Stride, Elephant Parade, the Embassy, Caucus, the Wake, Sea Lions, a Smile and a Ribbon, Mahogany, Neverever, One Happy Island, Tender Trap, Very Truly Yours, Allo Darlin’, the Drums, the Radio Dept., Soft City, Steve Goldberg and the Arch Enemies, the Orchids, White Town, Speedmarket Avenue, Outerhope, Pushy Parents and the Electric Pop Group.

Four-day festival tickets are on sale now, and passes for individual shows will be available later this week. Click here for additional details.
