Outside of some toilet paper, a garbage bag and a lampshade, there aren't really any props or special effects in Obits' 'Spun Out' video. It's just the Brooklyn garage-punk crew clowning around in their practice space, getting down on a surging, surfy rager from their recently released third album, 'Bed & Bugs.' And yet the clip demolished the competition, grabbing nearly 55 percent of the vote and easily taking the top spot in the inaugural Diffuser Top 10 video countdown.

Obits closest competition (22 percent) came from U.K. post-punk up-and-comers Eagulls, whose 'Nerve Endings' clip would've topped the lot had this been a "creepiest video" poll. As the band wails away on a spiky, hooky, gothy jam, a human brain decomposes before our eyes. By the end, the once-working mind is nothing more than maggot food, and we're pumping our fists as we reach for our barf bags.

Rounding out the top five are Pearl Jam, They Might Be Giants and the National, veteran acts whose high placement proves they're still bringing the goods.

The full top 10 video countdown is below. If you don't see your favorite, be sure to vote this week (poll to the right) and push it higher in the ranks. And tell your friends to do likewise. You can vote once per hour, so if you've got the time, the will and a sufficiently strong clicking finger, you -- yes, you -- can make a difference.
