Old Crow Medicine Show seem hell-bent on reminding everybody that country music can be popular and good at the same time. The gang appeared on 'Conan' last night (Sept. 17) to play a song from their most recent album, 'Remedy.' The tune they performed has to be on the short list of nominees for best song title ever, the rollicking 'Rocky Mountain Conjugal Trailer.' Check it out in the above video.

Old Crow Medicine Show -- whose descriptions almost always include the word "punk" -- secured their country street cred last year when they were inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, and lead singer/fiddler Ketch Secor can often be heard on America's hokiest show ever, 'Prairie Home Companion.'

Secor recently spoke with the San Fransisco Examiner and noted that he hoped Old Crow's music provides people with a deep emotional experience. He compared the ideal experience to a chance encounter he once had with a baby rattlesnake.

Me and these gangly 13-year-olds just looked at that snake for a long time, until it slithered off. And I think it was more quietude than those boys have ever experienced or accepted. And that’s the gift of our music – to give people something a little deeper.

Old Crow Medicine Show are currently touring the U.S. before heading across the Atlantic in late October. To check for tour dates, visit the band's website here.
