Although renowned hip-hop duo Outkast have been on an indefinite hiatus since 2007, that might not remain the case for much longer. Today (Nov. 19), Billboard reported that Andre 3000 and Big Boi are discussing a possible return at the 2014 Coachella festival in Indio, Calif., followed by subsequent performances on the music festival circuit.

Previously, however, the duo has been quick to silence reunion rumors. After Big Boi remixed Frank Ocean’s ‘Pink Matter,’ a track Andre 3000 appears on, the latter said this was not technically an Outkast collaboration. To top things off, in 2012, Andre 3000 told GQ that there were “no plans for another Outkast album.”

Together, Outkast has released seven albums in total, including their 1994 debut ‘Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik’ and 2003’s ‘Speakerboxxx/TheLove Below,’ which earned them a Grammy for Album of the Year.

Coachella is still a ways off — the festival runs April 11-13 and April 18-20 — but until then, we can’t help but hope this long-awaited reunion comes to fruition.
