Panda Bear Continues Teasing New Album With Aliens + ‘Tropic of Cancer’

Hype around Panda Bear's upcoming album has been high since he launched a multi-city international radio campaign over the weekend. Today (Jan. 6), we have not one but two new bits from 'Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper.'

With the ethereal and sometimes spacey sounds the Animal Collective co-founder creates, it seems fitting to recruit some hot aliens for the album's trailer ... right? Well, even if you don't think so, Panda Bear went ahead and did it. Directed by Danny Perez, the video shows two female nude aliens who are doing some sensual interpretive dancing to loops of Panda Bear's tracks. Check it out above.

Keeping with that vibe, 'Tropic of Cancer' also premiered on Australia's FBI Radio, which you can listen to on the site. The track is a slow one and may rock you to sleep, but it'll be a soothing slumber. Between the continuous piano arpeggios and Panda's airy vocals, it is one that takes you to another realm that seems to be surrounded by clouds.

And in case you missed it, Panda Bear has already dropped 'Sequential Circuits' -- he's giving fans some sonic variety on this album, and we're looking forward to hearing what's next.
