Parquet Courts Wander About Germany in ‘Berlin Got Blurry’ Video

Subscribe to on

At the top of the month, Parquet Courts announced their new album Human Performance, and today (Feb. 25), they have unveiled a third track off the forthcoming long-player.

Co-frontman Andrew Savage says the swaggering “Berlin Got Blurry” is “about feeling completely foreign to your environment… not knowing where you belong.” He captures that fairly succinctly when he sings in his signature ramshackle, “Feels so effortless to be a stranger / But feeling foreign is such a lonely habit.” Fittingly, the Claes Nordwall-directed video follows Savage as he wanders about the German capital, making calls on a payphone and riding the U-Bahn. Check it out above.

Human Performance is out April 8 via Rough Trade. The NYC rockers have already shared “Dust” and “Outside.” The album follows last year’s Monastic Living EP and 2014’s Sunbathing Animal and Content Nausea. (The latter full-length was released as Parkay Quarts under the guidance of a slightly altered lineup.)
