Listen to Parquet Courts’ Subdued New Single ‘Black and White’

The latest song from Parquet Courts‘ upcoming album is a lot more mellow than what we’re used to from the Brooklyn punks. Especially following the schizophrenic, seizure-riffic video for ‘Sunbathing Animal’ that dropped last month, ‘Black and White’ seems sorta subdued.

You can listen to the song above. Or if you want to pre-order the band’s new album, also called ‘Sunbathing Animal’ and which comes out on June 3, you’ll get instant downloads of both singles.

If the new album is anything like its first two singles, we’re in for a treat. These guys have a knack for rough rock, sharp edges, in-your-face attitude, belting screams and rapid-fire punches to your gut … if that’s your kinda thing.

The quartet also showed up on ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’ last night to debut ‘Black and White.’ You can check out their smoking performance below.

And if all that isn’t enough Parquet Courts action for you, they kick off their U.S. tour later this month, followed by an extensive European stretch and then returning to the states for even more dates.
