Passion Pit Announce New Album, ‘Kindred’

Besides some verbal confirmation that they were working on a new album -- and a whole bunch of demo releases from Michael Angelakos under the name Eastern Shift -- we haven't heard too much from Passion Pit as of late. That's all changed.

They've just confirmed the upcoming release of their next studio album, 'Kindred,' the band's first record since 2012's 'Gossamer.' You can watch a promo video for the new album below, interestingly titled 'That flickering light's just a flame.' So far, the album is slated for an April release via Columbia Records.
