Three weeks ago, Pearl Jam uploaded a teaser video for Let's Play Two, chronicling their 2016 stand at Chicago's Wrigley Field. Today, they announced that it will arrive in theaters nationwide beginning Sept. 29 and the days in which it will premiere on television and be released for home video.

Let's Play Two, named after a catchphrase by Chicago Cubs legend Ernie Banks, explores the relationship between the band and the Chicago Cubs, a connection made by Chicagoland native and longtime Cubs fan Eddie Vedder. Last August, Pearl Jam played two nights at Wrigley and a couple of months later, the Cubs won the World Series for the first time since 1908 when the beat the Cleveland Indians in seven games.

“In my films and photographs, I love to explore the relationship between a band, their fans and the location,” director Danny Clinch said in a press release. “When it happens that the main characters of your film are Pearl Jam, the Chicago Cubs, their fans, and Wrigley Field during a historic moment, you know it’s going to be epic. Our instincts were correct to follow the story and it took us to a historic Game 7 of the World Series ending a 108-year drought for the Cubs. I have learned to welcome the unexpected and it always pays off if you’re ready for it.”

The movie will premiere for members of their Ten Club in Chicago's Wrigleyville neighborhood on Sept. 27-28, with a week-long engagement in select markets around the world beginning Sept. 29., with one-night-only screenings beginning Oct. 3 (although given the Cubs' traditional rivals and the team they beat in the World Series, we suspect that the film will not be a big hit in St. Louis, Milwaukee and Cleveland). It will be broadcast on FS1 on Oct. 13 after Game 1 of the American League Championship Series and can be purchased on Nov. 17. Its soundtrack will be released on Sept. 29, and you can pre-order it on CD and vinyl and the band's web store. The Ten Club will put out the audio of both concerts in full via their bootleg program on Nov. 17.
