The Who's Pete Townshend and Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder have announced a one-off benefit show in Chicago billed as "Celebrating the Who." Not only serving as a celebration of Townshend's iconic rock band, proceeds from the gig will benefit Teen Cancer America, a charity organization established and supported by both Roger Daltry and Townshend. "Celebrating the Who" is slated for May 14 at the Rosemont Theatre.

Vedder and Townshend will be joined by the latter's brother, Simon, on guitar, as well as a bunch of other regular touring members of the Who, including Zak Starkey on drums (who also played with Oasis), Pino Palladino on bass, and John Corey, Loren Gold and Frank Simes, all on keys.

Teen Cancer America supports programs for teenagers with cancer through the University of Chicago Medicine. Tickets for this special show will be made available starting April 21 at 10AM at the venue's box office, as well as online at Ticketmaster.

The pairing of Vedder and Townshend shouldn't be a big surprise; Pearl Jam regularly cover the Who in concert, and the two rockers have actually performed together. Check out their 1999 rendition of "Magic Bus" below:
