It looks like Macaulay Culkin may have to rethink his dreams of being a rock star after his band was pelted with beer and booed offstage during its set at the Dot to Dot Festival over the weekend.

According to the Nottingham Post, the 'Home Alone' star's band the Pizza Underground was greeted with boos and tossed beer within 15 minutes after setting foot onstage in Nottingham. Then again, any band that plays pizza-centric covers of Velvet Underground songs probably deserves what it gets.

Culkin even handed out slices of pizza to the crowd to win them over at first. But the festival goers couldn't be placated with slices of 'za, and soon showered the former child actor in a sea of boos and pints of beer.

The star -- whose last film credit is a 2007 movie called 'Sex and Breakfast' -- stayed calm throughout his band's brief performance and reportedly asked, "Why are you throwing those? I’d rather drink them!" Maybe they just weren't into Culkin's kazoo solo.

After 15 minutes of this, the band was escorted offstage by security, presumably for its own safety. Dot to Dot organizers were disappointed with the audience's reaction to the Pizza Underground. "After barnstorming sets at both Dot to Dot Manchester and Dot to Dot Bristol, it's such a shame that some members of the crowd had to ruin what was set to be an excellent show," they said in a statement.
