Pokey LaFarge’s Next Album, ‘Something in the Water,’ Will Arrive in April

A week ago, Pokey LaFarge announced a string of tour dates scheduled for February through June in anticipation of his upcoming sixth album. Now, the Americana singer-songwriter has unveiled that album as being ‘Something in the Water,’ and that it will land in stores on April 7 via Rounder Records (pre-order it here).

In a press release, ‘Something in the Water’ is described as LaFarge continuing his tradition of evoking “the spirit of the Midwest, with elements of early jazz, ragtime, country blues, Western swing and beyond.”

The album’s lead single is also its title track, and LaFarge shared a snippet of the track along with some behind-the-scenes footage of its making. Watch the video above.
