The actual United State Postal Service is known for sometimes taking its sweet time delivering the mail, but the nine years that stood in between beloved electro-pop duo Postal Service's last concert and the band's return to the stage last night (April 9) in Reno, Nev., seemed to last forever -- even by USPS standards. The Postal Service kicked off their long-awaited comeback tour with a career-spanning set, and you can watch fan-shot footage of the show here.

Backed by Jenny Lewis (Jenny & Johnny, Rilo Kiley) and Laura Burhenn (Mynabirds, Bright Eyes), producer Jimmy Tamborello (aka DNTL) and Death Cab for Cutie‘s Ben Gibbard tore through a total of 16 songs, including 'We Will Become Silhouettes' (watch above), 'Clark Gable' and 'Such Great Heights' (watch both below).

The Postal Service head to Indio, Calif., this weekend for Coachella, the first high-profile date of a busy summer tour that includes headlining arena gigs and festivals and winds down at Lollapalooza in Chicago on Aug. 3. Check out their itinerary here. Their last concert was an appearance at the Sasquatch! Music Festival in 2004.
