If you or someone you know has a critical vibe deficit, the 17th annual Gathering of the Vibes in Bridgeport, Conn., will restore vibrations for all in attendance on July 19-22. Buy tickets here.

Drs. Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Phil Lesh's old-school deadheadery will restore all vital signs to groovy -- although they are not actual doctors, they're Grateful Dead founders (close enough). To aid any disaffected indie scenesters in attendance, headliner Primus will be supplying shock therapy and the Avett Brothers will be administering heart-to-hearts throughout their set.

"The Vibes is a seminal gathering of the tribes, and should be supported by those who spawned it," Dead drummer Mickey Hart said in a press release. Ranging out from hippiedom, the festival is incorporating all sorts of feel-good genres, and one new band will be added to the show via Facebook fan selection.

"Gathering of the Vibes celebrates the way music allows us to share that which goes beyond words," said festival founder Ken Hays. "Right now there's a convergence of jam bands, electronica, and rock 'n' roll - bridging the generations and truly making this a festival with something for everyone."

More than 40 bands will round out the show's bill, including Sound Tribe Sector 9 and the Yonder Mountain String band. The fest will be on the beachfront, so remember to bring your sunscreen—doctor's orders.
