Prince Playing SXSW 2013?

Is Prince headed to Austin this week for SXSW 2013? The Artist Formerly Known As the Artist Formerly Known As Prince will rock Austin's La Zona Rosa nightclub on Saturday (March 16) night, an unidentified source tells Hitfix, and rumor has it that the club's stage is being specifically remodeled for the show, which will reportedly feature a 22-piece backing orchestra.

And that's not all that Prince may have planned while in the Lone Star state capital: "Furthermore, fest-goers should keep their eyes peeled for a certain awards show held during music festivities in Austin this week: His Royal Badness is slated as a 'special guest' at the podium," adds the HitFix report.

Few artists are as high-profile as Prince, but he's not the only star rocking SXSW this year: the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Green Day and even Dave Grohl's all-star Sound City Players outfit are all also headed to Austin.
