Queens of the Stone Age have confirmed that they will release their sixth studio album, '…Like Clockwork,' in June via Matador Records after a long stint on Interscope Records.

Singer and guitarist Joshua Homme weighed in and described the album as "an audio documentary of a manic year."

That's music to our ears, on multiple levels. Sounds like he and his bandmates were able to channel the chaos into the music, if that quote is any indication of what we're in for. '...Like Clockwork' follows 2007's 'Era Vulgaris,' so there has been a bit of a chasm between QOTSA records, but hey, what's a few years?

The band will support '…Like Clockwork' -- produced by Homme and the band and loaded with special guests, among them Elton John, Trent Reznor, Mark Lanegan and Arctic Monkeys singer Alex Turner -- with an extensive world tour.
