Queens of the Stone Age Launch Redesigned Website to Preview New Album

Queens of the Stone Age's newly reworked website gives fans a few tasty clues about their forthcoming, still mystery-cloaked album.

Designed around a vintage, mid-century style television set, the site features eight static-filled channels. A number of phrases – perhaps album song titles? – appear throughout, including "All My Confusion Is Waving Goodbye," "Askew," "Enteen," "Gold Standard," "It's a 'Beautiful' Day in the U.S.A.," "Mumbo Jumbo," "1976 Evil," "Reclaim Everything," "13," and "Tutti Frutti."

Mouse over the artwork by Boneface and animations like blinking eyes, a pink-lightning bolt-shooting ghost and a lit match appear. You'll also find the exploding-planet Queens of the Stone Age logo that debuted a couple of months ago in the corner of this new site.

News that Queen of the Stone Age were at work on a follow up to 2013's Like Clockwork, has been circulating for about a year. Some tantalizing studio photos followed in February. By April of this year, they were said to have finished the project.

More recently, frontman Josh Homme has confirmed that there would be no guest stars involved. (Like Clockwork included Dave Grohl in a featured role, as well as Trent Reznor and others.) Rumors then intensified last week with talk that an advance single – said to have a "super-sexy groove" by one DJ – was imminent.
