Real Estate Announce Third Album ‘Atlas,’ Release ‘Talking Backwards’ Video

The Real Estate outlook for the first quarter of 2014 is strong, as the band has announced the March 4 release of 'Atlas,' its third album and first since 2011. Along with the news comes a video for 'Talking Backwards,' which shows the perpetually chill fivesome hunkered down at Wilco's Loft studio, where they recorded the 10-song set with producer Tom Schick.

As for the music, 'Talking Backwards' is a song of sadness and romantic frustration, though you'd never know it from the easy-does-it beat and sweet chiming guitar. Singer Martin Courtney is having trouble expressing himself -- "the only thing that really matters is the one thing I can't seem to do" -- but he won't let communication issues kill the vibe.

Real Estate will celebrate 'Atlas' -- arriving via Domino -- with a North American tour due to begin Feb. 28 in San Francisco. Click here for a list of dates.
