Record Store Day: Phish’s First Jam
Back in 1988, a little-known jam band from Vermont called Phish released their first album,’Junta.’ Twenty-four years later, hardcore Phish fanatics will finally get a proper vinyl of their culture’s genesis, this time around called ‘Junta Deluxe.’
And this one really is deluxe: that’s a thick 180 gram pressing that we’d feel safe calling “phat” and 3 LPs mixed down and mastered from the original 1/4″ analog session tapes. Audiophiles, rejoice — and Phish Heads, phreak out!
