Danish electro-pop duo Reptile Youth return after their 2012 self-titled debut with a brand-new single, ‘JJ.’ The song’s official release isn’t until Feb. 11, but in the meantime, you can stream it below.

The Copenhagen-based outfit — Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen and Esben Valløe — have traded in the bass-fueled styling of their debut for more sweeping arrangements in the new track. According to the twosome, the song was inspired by their correspondence with one of their fans.

“There is this guy whose initials are JJ… he has been a fan of ours for a long time. Somehow he got a hold of our email address and started writing me,” the band said. “That is why there is now a song named ‘JJ,’ in which I also use some of the lines of our correspondence.”

Keep an eye out for Trentmøller’s remix of ‘JJ’ on Feb. 11.
