The Washington, D.C., and New York Stops for the traveling hip-hop festival Rock the Bells have been canceled. The trek is celebrating its 10th year, but the anniversary mirth and merriment is now marred by this recent development.

Reports indicate that the Washington, D.C. show, slated for RFK Stadium this weekend, was given the heave-ho due to logistical problems.

A reason for the cancelation of the NYC stop, scheduled for next weekend in East Rutherford, N.J. -- just a hop and a skip (and a jump) away from Manhattan -- has not been revealed yet.

Rock the Bells took place in L.A. and San Francisco earlier this month. The lineup includes veterans like Wu-Tang Clan and Rakim, along with young bucks like Tyler, the Creator and Kendrick Lamar. Consequence of Sound reports that the festival was plagued by all sort of headaches, such as scheduling problems, sound issues and more.

There's always next year...
