The lineup for Belgium's Rock Werchter 2012 has expanded, with Jack White, M83, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and the Vaccines among the new bands added to the annual festival. Rock Werchter, which runs from June 28 through July 1 in Werchter, Belgium, already includes a virtual Who's Who of alternative rock, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Justice, the Cure, Florence + The Machine, Deadmau5 and Mumford and Sons among the bands already on the bill.

Pearl Jam return to Rock Werchter for the second time since 2007, when the Seattle rockers finally made an appearance after canceling a pair of previously scheduled gigs. The Chili Peppers and the Cure also have previously headlined the Rock Werchter main stages.

Rock Werchter is one of the five biggest annual rock music festivals in Europe, with the other four being Oxegen, Sziget Festival, the Glastonbury Festival and Roskilde Festival. Last year more than 80,000 fans per day turned out for the gathering, which featured a lineup that included Kings of Leon, Coldplay, the Chemical Brothers and more.
