During a gig at the Living Room in Brooklyn, hometown indie rockers Rocket & the Ghost filmed a video for their latest single, “Better Than Before.” Check it out above (via Earmilk).

“The concept of this music video is simple. What you see is what’s actually happening in the moment,” frontman Kiyoshi Matsuyama (formerly of London Souls) said in a statement. “We’re performing live but with high-quality visuals and audio to give it the effect of a standard video.”

“I figured a music video is great advertising to get people out to our show, so why don’t we just give people the chance to see us live with the click of a button,” he added.

However, if you’d still like to see the Brooklyn five-piece live -- which we highly recommend -- you can catch them at the Knitting Factory in New York on April 1. Get details about that show on the band’s website.

The video for “Better Than Before” follows Rocket & the Ghost’s debut self-titled EP, which arrived back in 2013. You can purchase that over on iTunes.
