With a plethora of music festivals coming up, here’s one more to add to the list. The 6th annual Roots Picnic has been announced and is set to take place on Saturday, June 1, at the scenic Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia. This year’s event boasts acts such as Grimes, Gary Clark Jr, How to Dress Well, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Naughty by Nature and, of course, the Roots themselves.

The Roots are Philly natives, and you can catch them every night on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,’ where they’re the featured house band. Many well-known acts have performed at previous Roots Picnics, including the Black Keys, Vampire Weekend, John Legend, Santigold, Gnarls Barkley, Nas, Public Enemy, De La Soul and more.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (Jan. 25) at 10:00AM EST and are available for purchase through Ticketmaster, the Live Nation box office, Theatre of Living Arts or by phone at 800-745-3000. Last year’s festival was a sold-out affair, and this year's lineup promises similar success.
