Always one to keep fans guessing, Ryan Adams recently tweeted a photo from his Pax Am studio that has us scratching our heads. With the caption, "Butch Walker just recorded a masterpiece at PaxAm. A total masterpiece," we're wondering if Adams and Walker have collaborated on something -- or if Walker is simple recording new material. Either way, we're excited.

Walker is a well-known metalhead, first playing guitar with SouthGang followed by fronting the Marvelous 3. And Adams, of course, is a heavy rock dude in his own right -- after all, he did record the metal album 'Orion' in 2010 and a few years later performed a perfect acoustic cover of Iron Maiden's 'Wasted Years.' And let's not forget the recent punk-infused 7-inch he released, '1984.'

It's also no surprise that Walker and Adams are friends; in 2012, Walker opened for Adams at a few shows and will be opening for him again throughout the month of October (see the full schedule below).

The photo of Walker after he "recorded a masterpiece" comes just a couple of days since Adams tweeted this photo of punk god Bob Mould with Walker:

Needless to say, we've got a lot of high hopes and big dreams floating around in our heads. What if Mould, Walker and Adams were joining forces to create the supergroup to end all supergroups?!

Then again, maybe we're reading too much into a simple tweet. Alll we know is Adams' Pax Am studio seems to be a magical place.
