In a somewhat expected turn of events, Ryan Adams and the Shining played 'Gimme Something Good' on the 'Late Show With David Letterman' last night (Sept. 11) -- the same track they rocked on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' just a few weeks ago. Adams' rendition of the tune was so good that when Letterman walked to the stage to greet the band, he made them play it again! Check out the performance above.

'Gimme Something Good' is the lead single from Adams' latest, self-titled record that hit store shelves this past Tuesday (Sept. 9). The sometimes elusive artist has been anything but with the release of the new LP; from sharing web exclusive 'Fallon' performances to jumping on-stage with Bob Mould to releasing really, really weird promotional videos, Adams has been all over the place, much to the delight of his fans.

In fact, he's shared another unusual promotional video featuring the same cast of characters as the others, including Gary Shandling, Jeff Garlin and Don Was.

First we found out 'Ryan Adams' kills parakeets, then we discovered the record turns neighbors into zombies and recently it was announced that it was the missing ingredient to a really good bowl of soup. Now, we find out that, after all this, the LP just sucks. Watch the funny video below:

Adams will be heading to London for a handful of gigs, including a stop at this year's iTunes Festival. Get his full tour schedule here.
