The trailer for ‘Safe Haven’ -- an upcoming film based on the best-selling Nicholas Sparks book and starring Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough -- features a haunting rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Go Your Own Way.’ The singer of the gripping cover is folk-rock artist Lissie.

Lissie’s full name is Elizabeth Maurus, and she hails from Rock Island, Ill. The song showcased in the movie trailer (watch it below ) appears on her 2011 covers album ‘Covered Up With Flowers,’ released via Fat Possum Records. Other covers on the disc include Kid Cudi’s ‘Pursuit of Happiness,’ Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance,’ Metallica’s ‘Nothing Else Matters’ and Nick Cave’s ‘The Ship Song.’ Her version of the well-known Fleetwood Mac tune was also used in an advertisement for Twinings tea earlier this year.

Lissie has opened for a variety of acts, including Tom Petty, Joshua Radin, Lenny Kravitz and Ray LaMontagne. She also teamed up with Ellie Goulding in 2010 for ‘Everywhere I Go,’ a single from her debut album, ‘Catching a Tiger.’ Additionally, the singer was featured on several tracks from Snow Patrol’s 2011 release of ‘Fallen Empires.’
