We were a little surprised when we heard radio stations in San Francisco were banning one of the biggest songs in recent memory, Lorde's 'Royals.' But then we realized, "Oh yeah. It's the World Series, Giants versus Royals." And as one or two stations in San Francisco ban Lorde, one or two stations in Kansas City play more Lorde. It's the circle of life.

What we weren't ready for, though, were the parody songs. Kansas City's monster rock station, 98.9 the Rock, put their spin on Jerry Reed's 'East Bound and Down' in the form of 'We'll Take the Crown,' and San Francisco's premier alternative outlet, Live 105, did their own parody -- focusing on the banned song itself. Check it out in the video above. CBS San Francisco even redid the classic bedtime story, 'Goodnight Moon,' in honor of their beloved Giants. It's a must-read, and you can check it out here.

But long before the match-up was ever decided, John Long reimagined 'Royals' with his own vision -- a prediction for the future:

The first game of the World Series takes place tonight (Oct. 21) in Kansas City. Who are you rooting for? Let us know in the comments below!
