Indie greats Sebadoh returned last year with ‘Defend Yourself,’ their eighth album and first following a 14-year hiatus. Today, they've unveiled a video for ‘State of Mine,’ a song in which frontman Lou Barlow muses on the anxieties of family and parenting. The clip, directed by Geoff Hoskinson, reflects those themes with collage-style animation of a ‘50s-era family.

The video hints at troubles lurking underneath the clean-cut family's wide smiles, just as the track bounces along with Barlow's uncertain lyrics: "Failure is a state of mine."

Check out the clip above and catch Sebadoh live during their U.S. tour this February.
