It's finally happening: the Taylor Swift 1989 covers album that Ryan Adams has been teasing for months has a release date: Monday, Sept. 21. Zane Lowe premiered Adams' cover of "Bad Blood" this morning (Sept. 17), and you can listen to it here. Adams also shared the album art on Twitter:

Lowe also announced that Adams' 1989 will be available for pre-order on iTunes beginning at midnight tonight. Lowe said he will interview Adams on the album's release day, and they will be joined by "a very special guest" over the phone, who we have to assume is Swift herself.

Swift tweeted out support of the album, calling Adams a major influence and saying the existence of this covers album is "surreal and dreamlike."

Adams has already previewed most of the album, as over the past few months, he has shared clips of "Shake It Off," “Style,” “Blank Space,”Wildest Dreams,” “Bad Blood,” “All You Had to Do Was Stay,” “Out of the Woods,”Welcome to New York” and “I Know Places.”
