Austin artist Shakey Graves, a.k.a. Alejandro Rose-Garcia, released the music video for his song, 'Dearly Departed,' a duet with Esme Patterson. The video, directed by C.J. Vinson, shows two people working through their personal problems alone after a somewhat violent split. It's funny, it's cute, and it fits the song perfectly. Check it out above.

This video is the first off of Shakey Graves' newest album, 'And the War Came,' which came out earlier this year. 'Dearly Departed' has been enjoying a nice rise up the charts, and this video will probably only further encourage this rise. Shakey Graves' music, an odd blend of country and indie rock, seems to be picking up steam within the mainstream, with the video getting some airplay on VH1 and CMT. (Graves' presence in these arenas is hopefully a sign of an upswing in the quality of popular music in general.)

Shakey Graves has been touring heavily, and has a handful of shows left through the end of this year. After a short break he and his band will head to Australia and New Zealand for some shows in February and March. To check his full tour schedule, visit his website here.
