It's one of the great mysteries of Christmas: How does Santa deliver your presents if you don't have a fireplace? Retro-soul luminaries Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings take up this very quandary in 'Ain't No Chimneys In the Projects,' which they recently performed at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, and today, they've unveiled a new video for the original holiday tune.

In the animated clip, directed by Ryan Louie, a young inner-city dweller struggles to plug in Xmas lights on the roof of her building, but the strand doesn't quite reach, and she winds up dangling upside down. Sadly, Santa is nowhere to be found, but then, 'Ain't No Chimneys In the Projects' ends with Jones realizing it was her mother dropping off gifts all throughout her childhood, so the red-suited fat man's absence makes sense.

After the holidays, Jones and the fellas embark on a spring tour -- click here for a list of dates -- and last month, the beloved R&B belter chatted with the Village Voice about her recent cancer fight. Read the piece here.
