After recently announcing the upcoming release of her brand new four-song EP, I Don't Want to Let You Down, New York City-based singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten has unleashed one of its epic tracks -- take "Just Like Blood" for a spin in the audio player below:

Van Etten croons so wonderfully on the track that it could undoubtedly make more than just a newscaster cry. The ascending, buildup of the track starts off in a very ethereal manner and slowly climbs its way to a massive orchestral finale. It plays with themes of surrender and disappointment, as well as admission and longing.

I Don’t Want To Let You Down is due out June 9 via Jagjaguwar and is currently available for pre-order. Upon pre-order, you will get instant downloads of “Just Like Blood” and the EP’s title track.
