Silversun Pickups Preview ‘Singles Collection’ with ‘Cannibal’

As Silversun Pickups leader Brian Aubert tells Rolling Stone, he has "a lot of weird ideas" for the band's next album. But first, the L.A. alt-rock heroes are taking stock of the past and releasing 'The Singles Collection,' a retrospective of the music they've released over the last 10 years with Dangerbird Records. The album also includes the new song 'Cannibal,' which is streaming below.

Sequenced last on the 11-song 'Singles Collection,' due out Feb. 25, 'Cannibal' is a gruff, mega-sized electro-rocker sure to satisfy fans until the the Cali foursome gets around to making that next record, the follow-up to 2012's 'Neck of the Woods.'

"We don't like to think about laying down rules and lists," Aubert tells Rolling Stone. "It's best for us to lay low and eventually build momentum organically."
