Silversun Pickups Bring ‘The Pit’ to ‘Conan’
Silversun Pickups are still on the road supporting their latest, ‘Neck of the Woods,’ and on Monday they hit the stage of ‘Conan’ to turn in a rousing performance of the album’s new single, ‘The Pit.’ And yes, bassist Nikki Monninger — who recently announced she will be temporarily leaving the group this fall to give birth to twin girls — was still rocking with the band. It’s not known how far into the band’s fall North American trek she will stick it out, but she’ll be replaced by Sarah Negahdari from the Happy Hollows when she does go on maternity leave.
