Over the past few days, the Silversun Pickups have tweeted a series of candid on-set photos of the band as they shoot a video for 'Bloody Mary,' the first song off of their new album 'Neck of the Woods,' out on May 8. See the photos and listen to 'Bloody Mary' below.

The hipstamatic shots feature drummer Chris Guanlao banging the skins on a vast desert landscape, a TV being smashed by a guitar, and frontman Brian Aubert standing with safari-hatted director James Frost -- the man who helped change your life making short films with OK Go ('This Too Shall Pass') and Radiohead ('House of Cards').

'Neck of the Woods' will be the Los Angeles band's third full-length album. Released by Dangerbird Records, the 'limited edition ultimate package' of the album, featuring a hand-written lyric by Aubert,  has already sold out on preorder.

The new album will return to band's expansive roots: “Part of (the writing and recording process) was looking back to really early stuff when we started," Aubert said in an interview with legendary LA radio station KROQ. "There was a playfulness and an experimentation that we lost a little bit of along the way."

With a desert, tweets, and a living legend of a video director, the Pickups are going to smash more than a TV this May.
