Jordan Jeffares is the brains behind Snowden, a nomadic rock project whose music sounds like apocalyptic yet danceable Britpop.

His latest album, ‘No One in Control,’ comes after a period in which he spent years journeying across the continental United States and Europe, picking up striking sonic artifacts along the way.

The single 'The Beat Comes' is one musical amalgamation we can only assume came from Jeffares' consistent travels. The singer oscillates between a disaffected Britt Daniel-like drone and the curious, unexpected melodies of Doves.

"I don't like to discuss song meanings because it interferes with what people can imagine on their own,” Jeffares tells Diffuser.fm. “I will, however, say that ‘The Beat Comes’ is full of double entendres." Well played sir.
