Continuing with our first annual Diffuser.fm Music Awards, we'd like your help picking the Song of the Year. This year has certainly seen no shortage of worthy alt-rock and indie tracks, and looking back on the best songs of 2012, we begin our list of nominees with garage rock veterans the Black Keys' 'Gold on the Ceiling,' the second single off their 'El Camino' album. Foster the People, meanwhile, continued making waves with 'Don't Stop (Color on the Walls)' from their breakthrough disc, 'Torches.' Fun. teamed up with Janelle Monáe for the ubiquitous smash 'We Are Young.' Mumford and Sons followed their multi-platinum 'Sigh No More' with 'Babel' and its lead single, 'I Will Wait.' Neon Trees returned with 'Everybody Talks' from 'Picture Show.' And Passion Pit hit big with 'Take a Walk' off their sophomore platter, 'Gossamer.'

It was also a big year for new acts. The Lumineers topped Billboard's Alternative Songs chart right out of the gate with their debut single, 'Hey Ho,' while Of Monsters and Men did the same thing with 'Little Talks.' Imagine Dragons scored a big hit with 'It's Time,' the lead track from their first record, 'Night Visions.' And Jack White finally went solo with 'Love Interruption' off his 'Blunderbuss' disc.

Which do you think should be named Song of the Year? Vote below for the best song of 2012! You have until 11:59PM EST on Jan. 15, 2013, to make your selection. We'll notify you of the winner in this and every other category on Jan. 16.
