Polo Ralph Lauren has unleashed a new men's fragrance, RED, as well as a thrilling short film to accompany it (watch below). What’s the song in the action-packed clip?

The catchy tune is ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ by Sound City Players — more specifically, by Paul McCartney and ex-Nirvana members Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear — and it appears on 'Sound City: Real to Reel,' the soundtrack for Grohl’s documentary which was released earlier this year. The group debuted the track at 12-12-12: the Concert for Sandy Relief last December.

In a recent review, Pitchfork wrote that ‘Cut Me Some Slack’ “excites with its ‘Helter Skelter’-scaled bombast, hoarse-throat howls, and fierce double-timed outro. It’s the best representation of Grohl’s intent for his ‘Sound City’ mission, to recapture some of the raw spontaneity that’s been lost in an era where so many recordings are clicked and cut with clinical precision.”

Among other artists who contributed to the collaboration are Stevie Nicks, Taylor Hawkins, John Fogerty, Rami Jaffee and Rick Springfield.

You may have seen Sound City Players on such TV spots as ‘Saturday Night Live,’ the 'Late Show With David Letterman,’ ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ and ‘Ellen.’ The supergroup delivered their final performance back in March at SXSW.
