We're still a couple of weeks away from Spoon's new album, but the band has been ramping up to its release over the past few weeks. After a way too long period of teasing and more teasing, it looks like they're finally getting serious about promoting that new record.

'Do You,' the first single from 'They Want My Soul,' made the rounds a while back, but the band has just unveiled the video for the song. And unlike the chirpy, upbeat tone of the song itself, the clip is kind of a downer ... and just a little bit mystifying.

In it, frontman Britt Daniel -- bandaged and looking a bit dazed and confused -- cruises around a city on the verge of ruins. Daniel seems to just want to get the hell out of there. By clip's end, we see what he's driving away from. We won't spoil anything. Just watch the clip above.

'They Want My Soul' comes out on Aug. 5. It will be Spoon's first album since 2010's 'Transference.' And in case you missed it, here's one of those frustratingly short video clips the band teased us with back in May:
