Spoon leader Britt Daniel is the latest musician to contribute a cover to FX series Fargo.

For his part, Daniel tracked a stirring acoustic rendition of the Creedence Clearwater Revival classic “Run Through the Jungle,” which appeared on Monday night’s (Dec. 7) episode. Take a listen in the video above.

As has been the case with much of Fargo’s soundtrack, Daniel’s CCR cover carries weighted meaning. Showrunner Noah Hawley has packed the show -- a spinoff of the 1996 Coen brothers film of the same name -- with songs referencing the directors’ filmography. The original “Run Through the Jungle,” for example, appeared in The Big Lebowski (watch a movie clip of the song’s appearance below).

Wilco's Jeff Tweedy also recently lent a cover to the TV series. He offered his take on Jose Feliciano’s “Let’s Find Each Other Tonight,” a song that was included in the original Fargo. White Denim, Shakey Graves and Blitzen Trapper have also contributed songs to the show’s soundtrack.
